Deyes celebrate GCSE success

Deyes High School welcomed its Y11 students today to school to collect their Key Stage 4 results. Deyes are immensely proud of the way the students have shown such strength of character and resilience as they approached the examinations this year.

Every student deserves huge congratulations for contributing to overall improvements in results which saw 61% of students achieve grades 9-5 in English and 55% achieve grades 9-5 in Maths. 66% of students achieved at least five standard passes, including English and Maths.

Individual performances have been celebrated today too!73 Grade 9s were awarded to our students and 357 Grades 9-7 ensured that many students were delighted with their results.

Some highlights include:

  • James B achieved 5 Grade 9s
  • Sophie F achieved 7 Grade 9s, a Grade 8 and a Grade 7
  • Joseph H achieved 5 Grade 9s, amongst his amazing grades
  • Jacob T achieved 5 Grade 9s, 3 Grades 8s and a Grade 7
  • Gemma F achieved a Grade 9, 6 Grade 8s and 2 Grades 7s
  • Lucy M achieved 1 Grade 9, 7 Grade 8s and 1 Grades 7s

Mrs Beaney, Head of School, said “These results reflect the students’ determination to succeed, despite the challenging circumstances they have faced during their two-year exam courses. We sincerely hope that such fantastic results will empower our students to realise their dreams and ambitions in the future.”
