College@Deyes students reach destination success!

It has been a wonderful day of celebration at College@Deyes as our results have shown that despite their disrupted and difficult journey, our students not only rose to the challenge but performed to a superb level across all subjects. 70% of students achieved A*-C grades, with incredible numbers receiving A*-B grades across our A-Level courses. Additionally, 79% of students received Distinction*- Merit grades in our vocational courses which alongside the A-Level performance has ensured fantastic destinations for our students as they take their next steps.

Mrs Beaney, Head of School, said “We would like to congratulate every student on their achievements over the last two years. I am so impressed by the variety of university courses, apprenticeships and other opportunities our students are now beginning. The determination and resilience they have shown has been incredible. Everyone here at College@Deyes is so proud of them and their success is well deserved. “

Individual highlights include:

  • Joseph Ball - A*A*A* - Joseph is going to University of Manchester to study Mechanical Engineering
  • Sam Rooney - AAA
  • Isabella Thompson - A*AC - Isabella is is going to Nottingham Trent University
  • Matthew McKay - ADD* - Matthew is going to Edge Hill University to study Computer Studies
  • Ellis Parr - AAB - Ellis is going to the University of Liverpool to study Biomedical Science
  • Joseph Waller - DD*D* - Joseph is going to take a gap year then start a degree apprenticeship in business/IT
  • Erin Cooke - AAB
  • Jamie Smith - D*DD - Jamie is going to Edge Hill University to study Sports Therapy
  • Grant Gibbs - BBB - Grant is going to University of Liverpool to study Biomedical Science
  • Alex OMalley - BD*D* - Alex is going to take a gap year then pursue an engineering degree apprenticeship
  • Anna Leek A* AB - Anna is going to the University of Liverpool

Miss Griffith Evans, Director of Sixth Form said “I’m incredibly proud of our students. Their hard work and determination to succeed is clear! Despite all of the obstacles they've had to overcome throughout their educational journey, they have all demonstrated today that they are resilient individuals who have bright futures ahead of them.
