Deyes High School Celebrates Outstanding GCSE Results

Deyes High School is proud to announce another year of exceptional GCSE results, with over 240 students collecting their Key Stage 4 qualifications this morning. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and pride as students, families, and staff came together to celebrate the culmination of years of hard work and resilience.

This year, 81% of students achieved grades 9-4 in English, and 71% achieved grades 9-4 in Maths, reflecting the school’s continued commitment to academic excellence. Impressively, over 65% of students secured at least five standard passes including English and Maths, and 39% completed the full EBACC suite of subjects—a testament to the breadth and depth of their studies.

The school also saw remarkable success in vocational qualifications, with a high proportion of students earning Distinction and Distinction* grades in BTEC and CAMNAT courses.

Student Lucy commented: ‘I’m really happy with how I’ve done and I would like to thank my teachers that pushed me to do my best.’

Charlie said ” I’m really pleased with my results and made up that all my hard work paid off. Thanks to all the staff at Deyes who have supported me along the way.”

Evie said “I’m extremely happy with my results, they were better than I expected. I would like to thank the teachers that supported me during my journey at Deyes.”

Emily commented: “These results show the hard work has paid off. I’ve grown in confidence and I’m ready for the future.”

Ben said: “The encouragement from my teachers and family has helped me achieve more than I thought possible.”

Mrs V. Beaney, Head of School, said: “These results reflect the students’ determination to succeed, despite the ways in which their education has been affected during their journey at secondary school. We sincerely hope that such fantastic results will empower our students to realise their dreams and ambitions in the future.”

Deyes High School is thrilled that many students will continue their academic journey at College@Deyes, and wishes every success to those pursuing new pathways.
