College @ Deyes students celebrate success!

It has been a wonderful day of celebration at College@Deyes as our results have shown that despite their often disrupted and challenging educational journey, our students not only rose to the challenge but performed to a superb level across all subjects. 66% of students achieved three or more A*-C grades, with incredible numbers receiving A*- B grades across our A-Level courses. Additionally, 89% of students received Distinction*- Merit grades in our vocational courses which alongside the A Level performance has ensured fantastic destinations for our students as they take their next steps.
Head of School, Mrs Beaney, said “We would like to congratulate every student on their achievements over the last two years. I am so impressed by the variety of university courses, apprenticeships and other opportunities our students are now beginning. The number of students who met the offer requirements of their first choice has been outstanding. Moreover, the determination and resilience they have shown has been incredible. Everyone here at College@Deyes is so proud of them and their success is well deserved.

Mr Ryan, Assistant Headteacher said “I’m incredibly proud of our students. Their hard work and determination to succeed is clear! Despite all of the obstacles they’ve had to overcome throughout their educational journey, they have all demonstrated today that they are resilient individuals who have bright futures ahead of them. I look forward to seeing them all flourish on their degree courses and apprenticeships.”

Elizabeth Burke “I’m really pleased with my results and am got into my first choice, The University of Liverpool to study Law. College @ Deyes is a great place to learn with designated study areas and excellent pastoral support. The teachers are really helpful and make you feel well supported including revision sessions.”
Nicholas Harrison “I am happy with my results and did better than expected. I’ve achieved the UCAS points I needed to get to my university of choice, Liverpool Hope University to study Geography. The staff at College @ Deyes are amazing and the facilities are exceptional.”
Mia Standland and Ruby Whiley “We’re really happy with our results and have both secured places at the University of Leeds studying History and Children’s Nursing respectively. We really enjoyed our time at College @ Deyes and the teachers are excellent. Knowing all of the teachers from our time at Deyes High School made it really easy to transition.”
Aimee Hodkinson “I’ve done really well today and got ABB which I needed to get into university to study History with Spanish. I’m made up and very relieved! College @ Deyes helped with my motivation. The teachers really motivated me to push harder and when I didn’t believe in myself, they gave me words of wisdom to make me feel like I could do it. I’m so glad I worked as hard as I did.”
Callum Sutton “I got A*s in Maths and Further Maths, an A in Physics and Distinction * in Computing. I’m delighted; all of the hard work has paid off. I’m going to the University of Liverpool to study Maths and Physics. The College @ Deyes team were always there to support me; they offered everything they could and pushed me to keep going throughout the toughest times of the A-Levels.”
Hannah Barlow “I’ve got on well today and am made up with my results. I’ve secured my place at the University of Liverpool reading Biology. The teachers at College @ Deyes have been very supportive, helping whenever I struggled and I’ve enjoyed learning alongside lots of friends.”
Holly Fitzpatrick “I’ve done really well and am pleased with my results. I’m going to the University of Liverpool doing English Literature and History. College @ Deyes has really helped me develop academically and strengthen my personal skills such as writing, communication and public speaking. My advice to others about to start A-levels is enjoy it, don’t stress and revise early. I’ve had such a nice time discovering more independence.”
Thomas Gates “I’ve got into my first choice which is the best possible result! I’m going to Liverpool John Moores University to study Biomedical Science. My maths and science teachers have been really good at personalising the help I needed to help me achieve my grades.”
Sonny Hickman “I’ve achieved all Distinctions and am delighted. I’m going to pursue an IT Apprenticeship. The teachers have been really helpful, and I liked the way they taught subjects as well as the College atmosphere.”
