Deyes High School Students Celebrate GCSE Success
Deyes High School is proud to celebrate another year of impressive GCSE achievements as more than 240 students collected their Key Stage 4 results this morning. The school was filled with excitement, pride and celebration as students, families and staff came together to mark the culmination of years of dedication, perseverance and hard work.
This year’s results reflect the determination of Deyes students and the unwavering support of staff and families throughout their secondary school journey. 73% of students achieved grades 9-4 in English, while 66.4% secured grades 9-4 in Maths, reflecting the school’s continued commitment to strong outcomes in the core subjects. Furthermore, 56% of students achieved five or more standard passes, including English and Maths, demonstrating the breadth of academic success across the year group. These results demonstrate the determination and hard work of our students and staff. Particularly pleasing is the substantial improvement seen across English and Maths, including at the highest grades, alongside improved outcomes for disadvantaged students. Our students can be extremely proud of what they have achieved.
Alongside these academic achievements, students excelled in vocational qualifications, with 40% achieving Distinction* to Merit grades in BTEC and Cambridge National courses. These results showcase the diverse talents of Deyes students and the strength of the school’s broad curriculum offer, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.

A Community Proud of Its Students
Mrs V. Beaney, Head of School, said: “These results reflect the students’ determination to succeed, despite the challenges and changes that have shaped their educational journey. Their resilience, commitment and ambition have been truly inspiring. We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved and hope these excellent results give them the confidence to pursue their dreams and realise their full potential in the years ahead.”
Mr Delaney, Assistant Headteacher, added: “Today is a celebration of much more than examination results. It is a celebration of character, perseverance and personal growth. Our students have approached every challenge with maturity and determination, and they should be immensely proud of what they have accomplished. These achievements reflect the strength of our school community and the high aspirations our young people hold for their futures. We look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make as they take their next steps.”
Deyes High School is delighted that many students have chosen to continue their studies at College@Deyes, while others embark on exciting new pathways beyond school. The entire Deyes community congratulates the Class of 2026 and wishes them every success as they begin the next chapter of their journey.
