It has been a day of pride, celebration and inspiration at College@Deyes as students collected an outstanding set of results that reflect not only academic achievement, but also the resilience, determination and ambition that have defined this year’s cohort. Across both A-Level and vocational pathways, students have secured excellent outcomes, opening pathways to universities, apprenticeships and exciting career opportunities. Their average A-Level grade is a B and for vocational courses a Merit+.

Throughout their time at College@Deyes, students have embraced every opportunity available to them, overcoming challenges and demonstrating an unwavering commitment to success. Today’s results are a testament to their hard work, perseverance and the support of their families, teachers and the wider College@Deyes community.

We are immensely proud of every student who has achieved these fantastic results. Their journey has not always been straightforward, yet they have demonstrated resilience, determination and ambition at every stage.

These outcomes are a reflection not only of academic success, but of the character, confidence and courage our students have developed during their time with us. We are delighted to see so many progressing to exciting university courses, degree apprenticeships and career pathways.

Student Success Stories

Heidi Carlyle celebrated exceptional success in A-Level Maths A*, Further Maths A*, Biology A* and Physics A* and will progress to the University of Cambridge to pursue Mechanical Engineering.

Tim Harrison achieved outstanding results in BTEC IT Distinction*, BTEC Business Studies Distinction* D and BTEC Computing D and will progress to Liverpool Hope University.

George Rooney achieved A-Level Biology A, A-Level Chemistry A, A-Level Maths A and will now study Medicine at Edge Hill University.

Heidi Carlyle: “I’m absolutely made up to have secured my place at Christ’s College,  University of Cambridge to study Engineering – it feels like all the hard work has paid off. The extra support sessions in maths and physics really helped me, alongside the work I put in at home. I’ll remember the fun and friendships of sixth form the most, especially trips like our visit to France. My advice to students starting A-Levels is to choose subjects you enjoy, stay focused from the start and don’t leave revision until Year 13. College@Deyes has been a great place to study, with brilliant teacher support.”

Ben Wheeler: “I’m really pleased with my results and excited to be heading to the University of Liverpool to study Criminology and Social Policy. The BTEC courses really supported me throughout my studies, and the teachers were always there to guide me. I’ll remember the friendly community and the people I’ve met here most. My advice to students starting A-Levels is to enjoy it while it lasts – I really enjoyed my time here.”

Lucas Leigh: “I’m really proud of my results and the hard work I’ve put in, and I’m looking forward to studying Game Development at Edge Hill University. The teachers at College@Deyes were really supportive, providing past papers and always taking the time to help when I was struggling. I’ll remember the fun times with my mates and revising together. Staying on at College@Deyes meant smaller classes, more personal support and teachers who already knew me and understood how I learn. My advice to students starting A-Levels is to work hard but also have fun and enjoy the experience with your friends.”

Luca Tanner: “I’m absolutely delighted with my results and proud that all the hard work has paid off. I’m now looking forward to studying Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Liverpool. The support from my teachers has been incredible, with so much extra help, guidance and encouragement throughout my A-Levels. I’ll remember the people and teachers most, as well as the close-knit group of friends I’ve made. My advice to students starting A-Levels is simple: give it your all – if you put the effort in, you’ll see the results.”
